Club 283
The passage of Senate Bill 283 represented an historic leap forward in the GLBT journey toward full equality in the State of Nevada. By recognizing same sex relationships through the registration of domestic partnerships, the legislature sent a strong message that our families and our relationships matter and are to be protected.

The Gay and Lesbian Center of Southern Nevada has put GLBT wellbeing at the core of our mission since the doors opened. Our efforts in promoting a healthy and vibrant community have continued to advance through our work in helping to found StandOUT for Equality and our sponsorship of the first ever GLBT Equality Days in Carson City right before the historic vote on SB283 took place.

While we are proud of the success of these headline grabbing activities, our dedicated staff at The Center continues to provide essential youth and senior outreach and support programs every day. In addition, health screening and counseling services that our vital to our community are made available free of charge to thousands of Southern Nevadans. Please support our ongoing efforts to promote and provide for the health, safety and equality of the GLBT community in Southern Nevada and beyond.
