PAMELA ANDERSON NAMES THE CENTER AS RECIPIENT OF MAC AIDS FUND
(Las Vegas-March 12, 2008) Today The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada (The Center) received confirmation that they will receive a contribution of $15,000 from the MAC AIDS Fund to be directed toward R.U.1.2. Youth Group. This is a special onetime contribution made in the name of Pamela Anderson.
We wish to gratefully acknowledge MAC and its retail partners, which have waived all administrative costs and profits so that every cent of the proceeds from VIVA GLAM lipstick can be directed to benefit people living with HIV/AIDS. We also wish to thank Ms. Anderson for choosing the youth program at The Center as the beneficiary.
The R.U.1.2. youth program is the only program that serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth in the Southern Nevada area. These funds will assist in expanding and enhancing the services we currently provide to the youth of our community. |
