2008 HONORARIUM CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
(Las Vegas-June 17, 2008) The Gay & Lesbian Community of Southern Nevada is seeking nominations for honorees to be recognized at the 2008, 14th Annual Honorarium. The Center will award individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made a positive impact on the LGBTQ community in such areas as volunteerism, activism, building public awareness, improving quality of life, shaping public policy, community support, and progressive employment practices. Candidates for lifetime achievement will also be considered for person(s) who have made long-term contributions to the LGBTQ community.
Please include your name and contact information, the name of the nominee and their contact information, as well as a brief statement (up to 250 words) about how their actions and activities have benefited the LGBTQ community. Nominations are due by August 22, 2008. Awards will be presented at the Honorarium on November 1, 2008, at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino.
Categories for nomination include the following:
Woman of the Year
Man of the Year
Youth of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Non-Profit of the Year
Corporation of the Year
Friend of the Community
Entertainer of the Year
Lifetime Achievement
