NEVADA CELEBRATES DOMESTIC PARTNER LAW

(June 18, 2009—Las Vegas) Nevada’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (GLBT) community, their families, friends and supporters will celebrate the passage of SB 283—Nevada’s Domestic Partner Law on June 25, 2009

WHO: Nevada GLBT community, Friends, Families, Supporters.
WHAT: A celebration of the passage of Nevada’s Domestic Partner Registry Act and the people who diligently worked to make Nevada the 17th state to legally recognize GLBT relationships, providing registration for all couples statewide beginning October 1, 2009.
WHEN: Thursday, June 25, 2009 5:30PM to 8:00PM.
WHERE: Rio All Suites Casino & Hotel Pavilion 2 --3700 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89103 (Entrance to the Pavilion rooms is from the East parking lot.)

***Special recognition will be presented to Senator David Parks, the sponsor of this landmark law, Gary Peck, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union; Jan Gilbert, Northern Nevada Coordinator, Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN); Julianna Ormsby, Nevada Women’s Lobby and Jan Jones, Senior Vice President of Communications and Government Affairs for Harrah’s Entertainment.
