LAS VEGAS LGBT COMMUNITY HOLDS STAND OUT FOR EQUALITY RALLY

WHO: The Southern Nevada Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community and our straight allies. The rally will include remarks from a local gay couple married in California, a local lesbian family and others.

WHAT: Las Vegas’ LGBT community is mobilizing to stand up, stand out and stand together in solidarity with the millions of LGBT Americans in California, Arizona, Florida and Arkansas who lost basic civil rights on November 4, 2008. The local rally is in conjunction with other pro-equality events being held across the country this Saturday. The rally will highlight the LGBT’s community determination to achieve equality, justice and civil rights despite the Election Day setback.

WHEN: Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: The Gay & Lesbian Center of Southern Nevada in the Commercial Center located at 953 E. Sahara Ave., Ste. B-31
