Stand OUT For Equality Campaign is organizing the 2011 Equality Days in Carson City, Nevada on March 28-29 with our member organizations of the Nevada LGBTQ Leadership Coalition.

Equality Days events will include lobby training and issue orientation at the Nevada Legislature hosted by PLAN and the ACLU, a reception hosted by HRC, an After-party hosted by Log Cabin Republicans, Breakfast by Stonewall of Northern Nevada and lunch by Stonewall of Southern Nevada. Network with other LGBTQ organization members.

Equality Days 2009 was the first officially recognized Special Day at the Nevada Legislature. This lobbying effort introduced the LGBTQ community to the legislative process and Nevada's Legislators to the LGBTQ community. The result of this citizen lobbying event provided the basis for enhanced Legislative relationships and created an atmosphere of awareness and acceptance, of not only the LGBTQ community, but our issues as well. Equality Days in 2009 helped create a positive and affirming presence at the Nevada Legislature and was instrumental in the passage of two bills, the Domestic Partnership bill and Public Accommodations.
